Dalitso Lungu demands apology and K5 million compensation from Prime TV!

Dalitso Lungu, son of the late Sixth Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, has officially demanded a public apology, a full retraction, and K5 million in compensation from Prime Television Zambia over what he considers to be false and defamatory statements aired by the station.

Acting through his legal team, Lungu has issued a letter to Prime TV challenging a report that alleged he had been summoned and interrogated by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) in relation to ongoing investigations. Lungu has categorically denied ever being contacted or questioned by the DEC.

His lawyers maintain that the broadcast has seriously harmed his reputation, particularly during a period of mourning for his father, the former president.
