Faith Musonda Detained After Confrontation at President’s Residence

Businesswoman Faith Musonda has found herself at the center of fresh controversy after being detained by police for forcefully entering Community House, the official residence of President Hakainde Hichilema in New Kasama.

The dramatic episode unfolded when Musonda, visibly agitated, allegedly stormed the premises and demanded answers regarding the prolonged delays in her pending court cases.

Eyewitnesses described the incident as tense and confrontational, with Musonda reportedly insisting on speaking to someone in authority. Security personnel acted swiftly to de-escalate the situation, detaining her on the spot and escorting her to Woodlands Police Station.

Police have since confirmed her detention and also disclosed that her vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner, was impounded for further investigations. While the motive behind her bold outburst appears to be frustration over unresolved legal matters, the specific nature of those cases and the reasons for the delays remain undisclosed.

Authorities have launched a formal investigation into both the incident at Community House and the broader issues raised by Musonda’s actions.
