Late Humanitarian Dora Moono Nyambe Recognised for Social Media Impact

Even in Death, Dora Moono Nyambe Wins Big at the Zamtel Social Media Awards
Philanthropist Dora Moono Nyambe’s legacy continues to inspire even after her passing. The late humanitarian has been honoured at the Zamtel Social Media Awards, receiving recognition for her remarkable impact in Mapapa Village, Central Province, where she housed, clothed, fed, and educated over 500 children — many of whom were victims of child abuse.
During her lifetime, Dora fearlessly pursued legal action against perpetrators of child abuse, achieving several convictions. She mainly relied on public donations, which she successfully mobilized through her social media platforms, turning them into a lifeline for hundreds of children.
At the awards, Dora was posthumously honoured with “Social Media for Good” and “Best Inspirational Content Creator” after a public vote. Her team received a cash prize of K50,000. Dora passed away on December 25th, 2024, at the age of 32, but her humanitarian work continues to speak volumes.
♥️ Rest in peace, Dora. 🕊️🕯️
