Teargas Chaos at Eden Queen Car Wash Leaves Patrons Injured

Eden Queen Car Wash Management has strongly condemned an unfortunate incident that occurred during New Year’s celebrations at its premises, where a teargas canister was detonated, resulting in injuries and distress to patrons.

In a statement issued to the public, management described the act as barbaric, irresponsible, and unlawful, emphasizing that the safety and well-being of customers and staff remain their top priority. Several patrons reportedly sustained injuries, while others were adversely affected by the teargas exposure.

Management confirmed that the matter has been formally reported to the Zambia Police Service, and investigations are currently underway.

“We are cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities and are confident that all individuals involved will be identified and apprehended to face the full force of the law,” the statement read.

In response to the incident, Eden Queen Car Wash has announced immediate and decisive security upgrades aimed at preventing a recurrence. These measures include the deployment of additional security personnel, enhanced screening procedures, and stricter access control at the premises.

The management also issued an apology to all those injured or affected, expressing deep regret over the distress caused during what was meant to be a celebratory occasion.

“We sincerely apologize to all those who were injured or affected by this regrettable incident. We thank our valued customers and the general public for their continued support, understanding, and trust during this challenging time,” the statement said.

Eden Queen Car Wash reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all patrons going forward.
