The confidence that @SABCNews International Editor Sophie Mokoena brings to some subjects that are clearly out of her depth is alarming.

A case in point is Sophie’s commentaries on the standoff between the Zambian government and the family of late former president Edgar Lungu. It is not simply the knowledge and understanding of the subject that she lacks; it is also the humility to say “I am not informed enough to have an opinion on this matter”.

Dear @Sophie_Mokoena, it is okay to say, “I don’t know” when someone asks you to comment on something you don’t have the knowledge or lack the expertise to fully answer.
