ECZ to Launch Constituency Delimitation Exercise This Friday
The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is expected to officially launch the constituency delimitation exercise this Friday, a process that will lead to the creation of additional constituencies ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
π³οΈ Delimitation and Election Roadmap Update
In a statement, ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager Patricia Luhanga confirmed that the Commission will also provide stakeholders with an update on the 2026 General Election Roadmap during the same event.
βThis serves to notify political parties, civil society organisations and faith-based organisations that the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) will launch the delimitation exercise and update stakeholders on the 2026 General Election Roadmap on Friday, 6th February 2026, at 10:00 hours,β Ms Luhanga said.
π Venue and Stakeholder Engagement
Ms Luhanga said the launch event will take place at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre (Old Wing) starting at 10:00 hours.
She added that the ECZ has invited political parties, civil society organisations, faith-based organisations, and other stakeholders to attend the event as part of its commitment to transparency and inclusive engagement.

The Commission has also extended an invitation to media personnel to attend and cover the launch, underscoring the importance of public awareness and information sharing as the country prepares for the upcoming elections.
