Mr. Zimba has come out strongly, questioning the credibility of the recently held Zamtel Awards. In his furious address, he argued that the results did not reflect the true public expectation, insisting that the winners were misplaced.
According to Mr. Zimba, the people who genuinely deserved the spotlight were Gracious Kaoma and Mwaka, whom he described as “the real voices of the people.” Instead, he expressed disappointment that the recognition went to Ba Matero and Mutale Mwanza, names he feels were pushed forward without merit.
“Everyone knows who truly carried the year. Gracious Kaoma and put in the work, and Mwaka has been consistent. But somehow, we see Ba Matero, Yo Maps’s and Mutale Mwanza walking away with the trophies. That’s not right,” Mr. Zimba fumed.
